When the guy who released one of our favorite albums of 2013 announces a new LP we can't do anything else than have serious doubts about it. Just to remind you what 1977 was all about: Opa, Oma, Goldfisch, Loreley and All That Matters.

Now 2015 is well here and Kölsch just released his second LP on Kompakt Records. 1977 was his birth year. 1983 also has a special signification for him. Kölsch says he used to travel with his family around Europe and especially in the South of France when he was a kid (\O/). For hours they would listen to his dad's favorite tracks until he got a walkman and he could make his own roadtrip soundtracks.

Traveling from Denmark to the south of France was a long journey and it was not just an occasion to change landscapes but also to go from spring to summer. All this melancholia is visible through the 13-tracks album, that could be taken as a roadtrip partner evolving through the day.

It wasn't easy to come back with a follow up album after the compilation of hits 1977 is but 1983 has some serious arguments. What's certain is that you will hear some of these tracks throughout the whole summer.
